Summatic is seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Associate to help advance the company to its next phase of growth. Summatic is an award-winning edtech startup based in Cambridge, UK, that has developed an intelligent learning platform combining advanced assessment with engaging, accredited resources to support students from school through university. Summatic's technology provides automated marking and powerful analytics to help learners and educators track performance and progress. Summatic is used by leading schools, universities, and business schools around the world, including in the US, UK, and Southeast Asia, across subjects such as Economics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, and Mathematics (A-level, IB, and (I)GCSE). Summatic is growing its global reach and building the next generation of digital learning.
As a Business Development Associate, you will work closely with the founding team to deliver key strategic sales initiatives. You will contribute fresh ideas and perspectives to improve all aspects of commercial operations, establish exceptional relationships with current and prospective clients, and proactively seek out new ways to foster key relationships and further business opportunities. You will also identify new prospective clients before executing effective business development strategies, utilizing knowledge of our value proposition and target customer audience. Additionally, you will execute operating plans and ensure sales objectives are met.
This position is available as full-time or part-time and is remote. The start date is as soon as possible. The salary is a competitive range of £315-£900 per month (full-time equivalent), with part-time roles pro-rated.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent written and verbal communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with potential customers and partners. The candidate should be analytical and able to understand the product and evaluate the best ways to reach customers. They should enjoy using problem-solving skills to understand how the platform could benefit potential customers and have a passion for using technology to improve the education of learners around the world.
